  This photo was actually taken just outside the Grand Bazaar, which is a tourist-based bazaar containing beautiful but overpriced souvenirs. Shops sold mostly pashmina scarves, rugs, Turkish tea and coffee ware, bags, and other accessories. I went into the Grand Bazaar and had a fine time talking to many of the shop owners, but ultimately did not buy anything from them. Most were interested in learning about my background since I am Asian but speak perfect English. I’m always more than happy to share.
